Slate Lake Outpost
Remote Fly-in Fishing Trips
Slate Lake's fly-in fishing outpost is located 37 miles northeast of Ear
Falls in Ontario, Canada. The lake and waters you can access from our fly-in outpost
provide over 50 miles of shore line for fishing. Our cottage is
located by the cut between Slate and lower Slate Lake which allows
one to fish in all wind conditions. With considerable
effort this lake could be accessed by bush roads, so you may see a couple of other boats on the lake but
the fishery is very healthy and provides large numbers of walleye and northern pike for those
who like action. View the picture gallery for a closer look
at Slate Lake's fly-in fishing in Ontario.
Your lakeside cottage is equipped with six beds, a hot water heater, solar systems for
pumping water and providing light, as well as a wood stove for heat. The screened in porch has chairs for you to relax on and enjoy a fantastic view of the lake.
The kitchen has a refrigerator,
freezer, table and chairs, sink, dishes, and cooking utensils. An outdoor propane fish cooker and
a grill are also available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, lavatory, and flushing toilet.
We also maintain an enclosed fish cleaning facility, 14-ft boats equipped with new Honda 4 strike motors,
and we provide an ample supply of fuel for your stay.
